Okay, so she might be a little young, but Spencer and I have plans to finish the basement, which would put the guest quarters there, and each of the kids would have their own room upstairs. That said, I've already done the redecorating in my head. So...that little tea set would go perfect in her room set up on this adorable mini garden trelice table and chairs set I found, all tied in with this bedding from Pottery Barn. Whatcha think?

These are a few of Mac's favorite things

My little dude is just that; my little dude. If you don't have a little boy yourself, the way I can best explain how it is to have him in the house is that I adore my little girls. They are sweet, and angelic; all things they should be. But Mac...I have the biggest crush on him. He's all boy, rowdy, sometimes particularly gross, and I love it! I just wanted to post this pic of him and his daddy and Uncle Sean, all doing back rubs. This just happens to be one of his most favorite things, but here are a few other tidbits for posterity's sake.

*His pooh blanket goes everywhere with him. Despite the dinosaur roars and race cars, he is enamoured with the thing and apparently it's particularly comforting to suck on.

*He puts himself into timeout if he is mean to Trin or is grumpy. I promise...it's not like I even put him there very often, but he's such a good little self monitor. Kind of sweet.

*His favorite color is green. I'm not sure when or where he developed such a preference, but there is no swaying the boy. I wash his green cereal bowl more often than I would like to admit.

*Cars. Cars. Cars. If you put his box of cars and other manly 4-wheeled contraptions out for him, he'll entertain himself for an hour.

*As I'm typing this, he's telling me his favorite foods are salad, cereal, bananas, and drinks.

*He is DYING to go to school like his big sis. He's totally ready for it, too. I pulled up to the stop sign outside my house the other day and got "Hey, mom! That sign is red! I see an S and an O!"

*As far as he's concerned, the Dinosaur museum is heaven on earth. He can name about ten different species!

*Slinkies! Who knew? We have a random one we got at Aunt Kristi's office once upon a time, and he always knows where it is. We were out running errands yesterday and I let the kids pick out a little treat. It was princess something or other for Trin, I got a cute little book for Addi, and Mac...well, it was the dollar pack of 5 mini slinkies.

*It's never been a problem to get this kid to nursery. They have a Thomas the Tank activity table at ours, and he can hardly sit through the closing hymn before he's asking to go.

*Mac and cheese...maybe it's the name sake.

It's Monday, folks! I'm holding strong at X-8, which is admirable having survived Superbowl Sunday, Valentine's day, and that bag of Oreos that I bought in a fleeting (no, not fleeting...ever present) moment of weakness. I am, however, doing 3 miles every morning right now, so I'm at least feeling better. And no...that is not me on my scale. Who has one of those types in their bathroom, anyway? No, I posted this just because she annoys me. What's going through her mind? "Oh no, my obnoxious six pack and I are 10 oz over perfect! Nevermind...I'll put down my towel." Gross.

We heart sprinkles!

These first two pics were of the treats Trin wanted to make for her friends to drop off with Valentine cards she made. They turned out totally adorable, although you can't tell just how cute from these pictures. All they were were jumbo marshmellows dipped in white baker's chocolate that we colored pink. You simply plop them onto a sucker stick, dip them in your chocolate,  and sprinkle away. I foiled a large mixing bowl to stick them into until they set up enough to put the plastic bag and ribbon on. So cute, and super simple...but lots of oohs and aahs. Yes, I am a domestic diva. Feel free to leave comments telling me so!

I'm not sure precisely the reason, but we always seem to find a reason to use sprinkles in our house. The month of February has been no exception, however much to Mac's dismay, there has been an abundance of pink, girlie sprinkles and absolutely NO cars or tractors. Sorry, little dude.

Our first little creation were mini strawberry heart cakes. We made these when we were all quarantined to the house, so half of them were thrown away because no one was hungry for a week, but when I'm bored, I somehow always end up int he kitchen. So, for your viewing pleasure, here's yet another pic of my kiddos contributing their culinary talents of varying degrees. Mac loves to make his own version of whatever I'm making, which usually ends up with a mixing bowl, large spoon, and something in the way of exhibit A. That's my floor. Addi just digs watching; and let me introduce you to Dangles, the newest member of the family. She LOVES her monkey!

Pink frosted valentine sugar cookies

That's all I need to say right now. Spencer once again stole my camera, so I don't even have any proof as to how very cute and obnoxiously tempting these sugar cookies were...yes, past tense. So, I will get back to you on the fatty wars this coming Monday. Sigh.
