I'm just thankful...

It's getting very late, my eyes are involuntarily closing themselves, and I'm having anxiety issues with having to speak in church tomorrow, but inspite of the mess I appear to be in, I'm also reflective. I have so much to be thankful for, and although I'm not a huge fan of the linoleum in my kitchen, life is fantastic!

I just got done meandering through a couple of blogs from friends' sites, and in the past 15 minutes I've come across stories of sickness, hospital visits, frantic ambulance rides, funerals, etc. I am so lucky to not have experienced very many from this list, and am grateful for the phenomenon that I get to call my everyday life!

My family is healthy, we live in a beautiful area, I have fantastic friends both here and abroad (i.e. West Phoenix...), and I currently do not have any monster zits! Hurray! I'm including some pics of my biggest blessings. Triniti had her dress rehearsal for next weekend's recital, and so she got to be in full hair and makeup...she's such a girlie girl. Mac also loves hanging out at the studio. It has a castle in it! And then today we made Ginger Bread houses at Kasey's house with Morgan. On the way up, as it was snowing and we had the candy supplies in tow, Trin declared from the backseat, "Oh, mom, I just love Christmas time." Gotta tell ya, I kinda like it too!

My Absent Note

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted, but alas, I have been suffering from a ravenous case of gangrene. My fingers are my only functioning appendages at this point...I take that back. I have one working index finger which I'm presently hacking away with. All right, so that might be a slight exaggeration, but I'm trying to paint the grimmest possible picture so you'll all feel sorry for me being holed up in my house yesterday during the first really big storm of the year. Up until this point, I've been graduating slowly to winter clothing. I first broke down and starting wearing a vest, not quite ready for a full jacket. And I'm proud to say that I hung on to my flip flops until just this past weekend, but after all this crazy white stuff, I'm going to have to unearth some socks. Blah.

We've been busy, though...as always! Funny thing, I can't necessarily tell you with what, but I do know that I'm exhausted at the end of the day. Does that count? This round of pictures is what happens when you're stuck waiting in the doctor's office for too long. We were at Mac's well-baby appointment. All is well, however, apparently he is not the biggest guy the doc's ever seen. Oh well, we'll take 25th percentile and explain to him why his sister is bigger than he is later.

We LOVE the Thanksgiving point barn and pony rides, art projects, and building snowmen.

And apparently Mac loves my Swiffer. The other day he got into the laundry room to get the Swiffer, back into the kitchen to get under the sink to get the rag, and I caught him trying to get the two to stick together so he could spruce up the place! It's a sickness in our family, but having the the toddler pitch in sure helps!

Happy October!

I'm going to have to catch every one up on the last couple of weeks since, yes...I know all of you will be shocked to hear this...we've been soooooooo busy! We've had company in for the huge Xango convention, Trin's birthdy, midnight sicky sessions of the projectile sort, and of course, Halloween! To start us out, this is my manly little man in all of his manliness with Trin's kitty ears on, coloring in her mermaid coloring book, on a princess tray. Why so serious, you might ask? Because this is his reality...nothing funny about it. What did you expect?

It's not so much the fit throwing, growth spurts, fevers, or even back talk that in my infinite parental knowledge has been the worst to go through. It's relinquishing the silverware to the toddler!

We found this great jumping, swinging, foam pit wonderland thanks to my friend Kasey! Mac loved the trampoline, but not so much his mommy throwing him helpless into the middle of the foam pit. Trin was fearless and spent the entire time on the rope swing hurling over the less than pleasant little brother down below in the afore mentioned foam pit of death.

The dinosaur museum that we probably frequent more than is healthy was so much fun the entire month of October. They had theme night every Monday night. This was fairy princess night. Just kidding! Trin loved being a pirate!

More festive fun! I have to admit, though, most of this was not my doing. I was at Xango convention for an entire weekend and my superhuman husband took the kiddos out for a little fun! Not to mention he even had lasagna and hot bread ready for us when we got back that night! I love my Spenc.

Triniti's 4th birthday was soooo much fun! I had six little girls in pajamas at the most "haunted halfover" you've ever seen! We played musical graves, made a human spider web, and then settled in to a mountain of blankets and pillows for a movie in the dark! Trin missed her friends Sam and Mackenzie, which still make the prayer list, though. Miss you Britt and Kim! The cake, however, still tasted good if I do say so myself! Um, and yes...Mac made an appearance, too. This is the "I'm so cool, and yes I know exactly when a camera is pointed at me" face.

We love Halloween! Happy October, everyone!
